Home Economics stands for the ideal home life for today unhampered by the traditions of the past and the utilization of all the resources of modern science to improve home life.

Founder of the Home Economics Movement

The fundamental focus of the Department of Applied Sciences of Living revolves around home economics. This department operates as an interdisciplinary academic domain, dedicated to nurturing students' proficiencies and expertise in various domains such as life management, culinary arts, and overall styling.

Bachelor's Degree Program

The bachelor’s degree program primarily focuses on nurturing students' abilities in home economics-related domains, encompassing (1) family life education, (2) promoting healthy and leisurely lifestyles, and (3) mastering nutrition and culinary arts. Over the course of the four-year program, students are also required to fulfill general education requirements.

Master's Degree Program

Master's degree program leads to a Master of Science (MS) degree. The student's areas of interest are available in life management, design program, and food and beverage management program (hospitality management). These programs provide advanced coursework in the field, as well as the opportunity to conduct high-level research leading to a master's thesis.
